Im exhausted and I havent even fully started

Im in CA and I am opening my own Pest Control company. I have been in the industry for a few years and have been working on following the procedures to make it happen. However, EVERY. STEP. OF. THE. WAY. The structural Pest Control Board loses every form I mail them (yet they cash the checks attached). Every time this happens it pushes back my start date 4-6 weeks due to processing.

I finally got my insurance and bonding which the originals were mailed and they are once again saying they do not have it so i have to reach out to my providers and figure out what to do.

I should have been up and running 06/01/2020 summer time is a big season for pests but ill be lucky if I can start soliciting business by october 1st. So damn frustrating and mentally exhausting. I know itll be worth it in the end though.

Other points

I'm not in pest control, but I have worked in [insert industry here] which you could say is quite similar! /end joke

Bureaucracy can certainly be demoralizing and erode the entrepreneurial spirit but you seem to have a healthy mindset so kudos on that. Ranting is a good outlet. I've seen too many motivated people lose interest in ideas they are passionate about because of hurdles like this. They eventually find comfort in an established firm but part of that initial ambition is still there. Keep it up and hang in there.
