Nothing you say to a real customer can blow a deal. You blow a deal because you did not do something. You did not call, you did not follow up, you did not laugh with them.
If you have a price rejection at 169, change it to 269, change it to 369. The customers will complain anyways.
Price is what customers pay while complaining. That is why it is called a price. A value is something that a customer has to have. That is called a transaction, or business.
